Be a Tourist in your Town

It’s the Town of Lunenburg’s 26 2nd Birthday and we’re celebrating in style!

On June 5- 7, 2015 it’s your chance to be a tourist in your own town. Residents and visitors alike will be able to celebrate, discover and rediscover all the great things that Lunenburg has to offer.

​The Bluenose Coastal Action Foundation is pleased to be offering the following:
June 5th: 3rd Annual Rum and Chowder Social from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM.

Join us for an evening of sampling various chowders donated by restaurants in the Town of Lunenburg, rum (including Ironworks Distillery) and lots of entertainment.

​Tickets are $25. All proceeds go directly towards supporting our projects and programs.

June 6th: We will be celebrating World Oceans Day at the Fisheries Museum. Come visit us at our touch tank between 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM and learn about sea creatures you can find in Nova Scotia. Also, don’t forget to join us at 11:30 AM for a presentation with Senator Wilfred Moore on the Hamilton Declaration and how protection of the Sargasso Sea relates to our American Eel Project.

You can also come and learn more about the work that we do by visiting us at our office from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Saturday. Our doors will be open!
