Donations – Support BCAF Support BCAF by subscribing to Saltscapes Magazine ... The Bluenose Coastal Action Foundation (BCAF) is a non-profit, charitable organization. BCAF, however, is neither a lobby group nor an enforcement agency. Instead, BCAF is a community based organization, addressing the environmental concerns within Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. BCAF strives to work with all community groups and sectors. Although some individuals choose to support BCAF through volunteering, financial support is also welcome. BCAF applies for funding from various private and government agencies for each project and this support also enables BCAF to hire and keep project staff. With the large number of non-profit organizations vying for the limited amount of available funds, many worthwhile projects and ideas have to be turned down or only receive minimal funding. All donations accepted by BCAF go directly towards our projects. Donors may make a general contribution or choose a specific project to support. Donations may also be made in memory of a loved one, in which case they will be announced at BCAF’s Annual General Meeting held each June. Tax receipts will be issued for donations in excess of $10.
