sherbrooke lakeAfter a proposal for a public access site at Sherbrooke Lake, concerns were raised regarding how public access and increased recreational usage may affect the lake’s water quality. The Sherbrooke Lake Water Quality Monitoring Program was created in 2017, in collaboration with the Municipality of Chester and the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg, to create a water quality baseline and monitor changes in the lake as the public access site is developed.

fox point lakeOn the Aspotogan Peninsula in the Municipality of Chester, Fox Point Lake’s water quality became a concern to citizens when high sedimentation was noticed, coinciding with a large development – Aspotogan Ridge. Contracted by the Municipality of Chester, Coastal Action manages the Fox Point Lake Water Quality Monitoring Program to measure and track changes in the lake’s water quality.
