The Canadian Marine Plastics Action & Collaboration (CoP) is to strengthen national collaboration, knowledge sharing, and coordinated action among researchers, practitioners, industry, policymakers, and communities working to understand the sources, impacts, and solutions for marine plastic pollution.
Building on the Atlantic Canada Microplastics Working Group, coordinated by Coastal Action since 2019, this CoP will provide a formal, inclusive platform to connect diverse perspectives across regions and sectors nationally and co-led by PhD researcher from the University of Ottawa. It will foster open communication, knowledge sharing, and co-creation of resources. The CoP aims to amplify regional efforts, support collaboration and develop shared tools and strategies between academia, industry, and community groups
