Protecting Coastal Wetlands in Nova Scotia through Stewardship and Collaboration

Coastal Wetland Monitoring and Capacity Building 2022-2025
This project is focused on identifying restoration, stewardship, and protection opportunities for coastal wetlands across the province. We are building regional capacity for wetland monitoring through workshops, training, and equipment sharing.

Along with our project partners, we're monitoring 8 coastal wetlands across the province. This collection of baseline data will provide valuable knowledge on key wetland indicators including geomorphology, hydrology, water quality, and vegetation.

This project is funded by Fisheries and Oceans Canada's (DFO) Oceans Management Contribution Program.
